Just like a person’s character shows in their face, in its expressions and the unique pattern of wrinkles, so each ancient temple has its own face and character. A temple’s unique image is not only about its architectural perfection: it is also in the marks traced by the passing time, in the glow of the ancient patina, in the marks left by sun and rain. It is this kind of a temple’s portrait that I tried to accomplish here.
